Expertise and Experience

A new study from Dr. Richard Striano on outcomes with Lipogems adipose cell therapy is being submitted shortly for publication. The study focused on safety, efficacy and impact on quality of life in patients with advanced arthritis with meniscus tears of the knee, failing all prior methods of care treated with autologous micro-adipose cell therapy. The new study is co-authored by the expert medical team Dr. Victor Urzola and Dr. Vince Giampapa, founders of RMI Costa Rica.

Dr Richard Striano began his interest in diagnostic ultrasound years ago, however in 2010, with the development of high frequency ultrasound technology his interested peaked and began initial education at Thomas Jefferson Medical in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound. His education and training in both diagnostic and interventional ultrasound has continued including hundreds of hours of cadaveric training in ultrasound guidance of joint injection at MSKUS, The Orthobiologic Institute, Andrews Orthopedic Institute, and the Mayo Clinic, School of Continuous Professional Development. Dr. Richard Striano is a faculty member in physician tracing in diagnostic and interventional ultrasound sound at OrthoSono. He sits on the board of directors on a non-profit foundation for physician advancement in science, education and delivery of biologic medical orthopedics, The Interventional Orthopedic Foundation.
